Thank you so much for those kind words, Tiffany. The Six Irish Poems come from a collection on which I am working – Meditations on Anam Cara by John O’Donohue. I have 80+ poems in place. It is a lovely project. When writers get lost for words, they worry. When painters get lost for words, they paint! All best wishes!

I have some Irish roots as well with a great great great great grandfather and grandmother who sailed from Wickliff, County Wickliff in the mid 1800’s. My sister found their signatures on the boat docket a few years ago. Michael and Elizabeth met in Baltimore where they came into the USA, married a few months later, and Michael served with the Union Army during the uncivil war. We are also one fourth English as well as one half German. I have been to the place in Bavaria where the family once lived. My dad was first generation American. But the one we celebrate the most is the Irish quarter.
