Surrounded
Surrounded by beauty,
a magical paradise
trapped for a moment
in a sunlit mirror,
the past laid out before me,
the thought, word, deed
of a painted reality,
of painted realities really,
visions leaving the mind
only to be caught in line,
color, shape, and paint,
and frozen in time,
each one date-stamped,
and placed here, there,
everywhere on wall after wall,
until I am surrounded,
breathless,
within this circular
vista of visions filled
with inherent beauty.

I know these pictures, Roger! Such a part of your life. Details and stories told in pictures! Bravo!

Thank you, Ginger. It really is a mini art gallery. So light and airy AND the hibiscus has decided it’s time to start flowering again. There is art all over the house now.

That is not a powder room. That is a vibrant gallery! How alive and stimulating. It makes my eyes tipsy and my heart dance.

I just wrote it this morning, to go with the photos, Louise. The hibiscus has started flowering again with the sun – we face south. Gorgeous double flowers!
